The Bluefields SoundSystem is going to be a vital outlet for creativity and growth for an island that has had a long history of struggle. To build those resources in this battered region, we must bring Bluefields to the international stage. And to do that, we need to raise money.

We are working with community organizations in Bluefields to raise a budget that will cover all the goals described so far. We are working to cover travel expenses and a three-month stay for a team of four (Executive Producer, Executive Director, Music Producer, and Sound Engineer). In those three months we will set up the facilities to record and produce a mix tape of Kali Boom alongside some of Bluefields' key artists, as well document it all on film. Upon our return to the States we will then be completing the film, and embark on the marketing of the CD/DVD.

We have secured non-profit sponsorship through Downtown Community Television so you can make tax-deductible donations through our website. We will also are throwing a fundraising music and film festival in Brooklyn on Sat. June 11th, and any bands, DJ's and promoters who want to support us and help us are more than welcome.
