The Future

The Bluefields School of Reggae bridges the gap between the older and younger generations of Bluefields talent. The first stage of the program involves the recording of the original songs from the older musicians.

These legendary performers will then gain employment giving music classes to young artists teaching them to play live instruments. Each up-and-coming artist participating in the project will pair with an older musician for at least a two month period before recording in the studio. The benefit of this arrangement is that it not only bridges the gap between generations, it also prepares the artists to record original music when they earn their time in the studio.

The studio in Bluefields is a place to nurture original talent. With the active participation of the artists we look forward to hosting cultural and musical exchanges with professionals from a wide range of musical backgrounds. We also are recruiting volunteers to create workshops in studio engineering and music production. We look forward to these exchanges bringing Bluefields music to a new level of contemporary style.
